You don't need jars upon jars of products to ensure glowing wrinkle-free skin.

If you are the type who likes to keep things pared down we’ve got you! Our derms have curated an easy anti-aging skincare routine that even the lowest-maintenance peeps out there can handle.

Protect protect protect!

It’s never too early to start taking care of your skin- especially for Indians. We would argue that skincare should start a little after childbirth - the basics being to cleanse, moisturise and protect.  For millennials in their 20s to early 30s it is integral to maintain skin health, vitality and elasticity along the way. This can be done by minimising your sun-exposure which causes photo-ageing, and environmental damage.

We can’t write about anti-aging without waxing eloquent on the importance of sunscreen. Many of the preliminary visible signs of age-ing are caused by the sun and can be avoided, be it the starting of fine lines near eyes or subtle discolouration. So slather on sunscreen, even when you are indoors! The sun’s UVB rays cannot penetrate glass windows, but UVA rays can, leaving your skin prone to their damaging effects if unprotected from blue light as well.

Choose a gentle cleanser

You don’t need fancy gadgets nor do you need a ton of active ingredients in your cleanser, but you DO need more than water or a makeup wipe. Vitamin C cleansers or oil based cleansers are a great choice in your anti-aging routine because they encourage cellular rejuvenation and detoxify at the same time. For minimalists, our brightening cleanser is a great bet.

Harness the power of retinoids

Retinol is a powerhouse ingredient and can become your skin’s best friend. If you have visible signs of aging it could perk up your skin like a charm. It works to boost collagen in the skin, smooths fine lines and wrinkles, and minimizes pigmentation. Just make sure you use a retinoid which doesn’t irritate your skin. Our sensitive, perpetually irritated Indian skin does better with molecules like the gentle granactive retinoid  or retinol when it is combined with hydrating agents like hyaluronic acid and ceramides.
P.S. It’s a boon for acne-prone skin too!

Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate

This is one step in your skin care routine that you should never skip. Moisturising  your skin regularly helps in strengthening the skin structure and ultimately repairs and reduces fine lines, wrinkles and any signs of sagging. Look for ceramides, Hyaluronic acid, cholesterol, fatty acids on the ingredient label and add it into your morning routine, post-cleansing to hydrate and plump your skin. It works great under make-up too!

Don’t forget about Lifestyle
